Notices – 1st February 2026
1st February is the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time, the liturgy speaks about humility and trust in God.
On 2nd February: The Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord and Day of Consecrated Life. The first mass called Candlemas commemorates the presentation of Jesus in the temple, his purification and the light of the world. We will begin the liturgy with the Blessing of Candles at the grotto at 6:45 am. followed by procession to the Church and Mass. It is a common practice for the faithful to take the candles home and light them when they need Christ’s intervention, such as in times of illness or difficulties. Please take only one candle per family.
PPC meeting on Monday, 2nd February at 7 pm in the Bosco Hall.
Tuesday, 3rd February: Feast of St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr. Blessing of throats after all the Masses.
The Parish Fathers will be visiting community H, St Paul’s Road on Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026 from 5pm to 6:30pm. (Please note the change in time necessitated because the priest need to get back for the blessing of throats).
6th February is the First Friday of the Month. Holy half hour adoration at 6:30pm followed by Mass.
The community maintenance Fund is a way of contributing towards the mission of the Church. Every earning member is urged to contribute to this Fund. Since June 2025 we have assisted needy individuals from Our parish as well as others from this fund in the Following manner: Medical assistance 14 Lakhs, Education assistance and scholarships 5 lakh, Church Support to the SVP 6 lakh. Community activities 9 lakh. We request you to kindly make your contributions so that we can assist those in need.
All users of permanent graves are reminded to ensure their maintenance fees are up to date. Many accounts are several years in arrears. Please be advised that graves with fees unpaid for over seven years may be reclaimed by the Parish for community use.
Mass booking for March and April will begin from February 9th between 10 and 11 am in room no 1.
‘Rhythm n Roots’, a three day celebration of culture, music & the arts is being held by the Andrean Cultural Council on 6th, 7th and 8th February 2026 at St. Andrew’s school grounds. Passes for the same are available outside the sacristy after all masses this weekend and after the Sunday masses outside St. Andrew’s college Chapel. Passes will also be available at the venue.
